What do Social Workers do?
Under the line item ‘Assessment, Recommendation and Therapy’, Social Workers can support with a range of concerns related to your disability, this might include: –
- Capacity building through exploring what changes you can make and what changes can be made around you
- Support with complex decision making
- Problem solving
- Counselling
- Advocacy and referral
- Support to engage and participate in the community
- Employment readiness and support
- multi-disciplinary contact and meetings
- preparation of Plan Review Report to NDIS.
- Managing the NDIS overwhelm, housing issues, financial concerns, building a support team, training for support workers.
