
The Psychotherapy and Counselling Federation of Australia describes Counsellors as being “fully present with their clients, using empathy and deep listening to establish positive working relationships. Counselling is effective when clients feel safe, understood, respected, and accepted without judgement. Counselling is a profession with a strong evidence base. Counsellors use empirically supported interventions and specialised interpersonal skills to facilitate change and empower clients.” (PACFA, 2023).
Vicki works from a person-centred and trauma-informed framework, understanding the complexities of finding strength in moments of confusion and/or difficulty. Vicki has completed training in Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, grief and loss, mindfulness, motivational interviewing and parenting concerns.
